Car looks good. I was scrolling down with my fingers crossed saying "please be really cheap." It's too expensive for me. It's a good price for a 2001 if someone can afford it. I need to do something with this big, aluminum paperweight (LS1) I have sitting on my floor.

I may be interested... What happened to the bottom end? Did it hydrolock or have a bearing let go? Are you sure there wasn't any PTV issues and are you positive the heads are not damaged? Also, who did the valve job and how extensive is the port work? I assume the bowls were just touched up with no major cutting right?

not sure what happened to the bottom end im thinkin it spun a bearing and locked up. i pulled the plugs out and tried to spin it over and it wouldnt. A guy named brian arnone has a shop called lower shores performance and he did the head work. Nothing major just cleaned up the bowl and the exhaust ports. The car was running fine until it had a little valvetrain noise so i was going home to retorque the rockers and adjust the valves. Then i heard a squeking noise between shifts and the car was trying to die which it finally did. I drained the oil and it was very silver. As for ptv issues this was about the same spec cam as my ms3 (smaller duration and tighter lsa) i was running for 7000miles 3 degrees advanced and didnt have a problem with this setup. I ran this cam dot to dot.

So you are sure the heads are fine from when the motor let go? PM me your bottom dollar and maybe I can come get it in a week or so.

We're all 99% sure it's a bottom end issue, so the heads should be fine. This car is very clean, the pictures don't do it justice. A great deal for somebody.

its a great car and looks but it just didnt like me or my best friend i got it from. 38,000 miles and 4 motors = ftl. I hope you have better luck than me with it. I know about every bolt on the car so if there is any questions call me.

I went through 3 motors in less than 20k miles in my 94... lol I hope this one treats me better! I have decided to put the 6.0 together with some L92 heads and a smallish cam. I also have a spare kit sitting around if I get crazy. This will be my DD to and from College of Charleston for the next two year. I am VERY excited about picking it up.

Not too bad... thats some nice torque! I hope to be right around 400 with the size cam I will be choosing. I may just do the 228R also.
So wait, after the 6.0 let go you put another motor in it that failed?

The ran the 228R cam for about a year. It was a good, driveable cam. I ened up wanting something bigger and swapped it for a MS4.
I made 376rwhp with the 228r & I made 402rwhp with the MS4. These were both on stock heads and stock bottom end.

I hope I can pick the car up before the weekend but I still have to try and work it out. Yall are good people so I don't mind sending the money a few days early. Thanks for showing me around today, I was 100% impressed with the car! I can't wait to get the wheels on and get the 6.0 running. I will keep you updated for sure!
I will be keeping the LT1 car as my weekend race car... I just hope the new car isnt faster LMAO
